From Texas Hill Country to Your Pit
We're on a mission to bring authentic Texas BBQ to pitmasters across the nation, one perfectly seasoned split at a time.

The Heart of Texas BBQ
In the rolling hills of Texas Hill Country, generations of ranchers have understood something fundamental: the best BBQ starts with the best wood. Post oak has been the backbone of Texas BBQ since the early 1800s, when cattle ranchers in Central Texas first discovered its perfect burning characteristics.
The name “post oak” itself tells a story. Ranchers used these sturdy trees to build fence posts that would last for decades. The leftover wood fueled their campfires and, eventually, the legendary BBQ pits of Lockhart, Taylor, and beyond.

Our Commitment to Quality
We source our post oak exclusively from Texas Hill Country ranches, working directly with landowners who practice sustainable forestry. Every tree we use is hand-selected, properly seasoned for 6-12 months, and then kiln-dried to meet USDA interstate shipping requirements.
Our kiln-drying process does more than just meet regulations—it ensures you receive wood that's ready to burn the moment it arrives. At 15% moisture content or less, our post oak lights easily, burns clean, and delivers that authentic Central Texas flavor without the bitter smoke that comes from green or improperly seasoned wood.
“Real Texas BBQ isn't about shortcuts. It's about doing things right—the same way they've been done in the Hill Country for over 150 years.”
Bringing Texas to You
We believe every backyard pitmaster deserves access to the same quality wood that fuels the legendary BBQ joints of Central Texas. Whether you're in Nashville, New York, or anywhere in between, we ship our premium post oak directly to your door.
